Eindhoven Centrum & Strijp-S
Redeveloped former Philips factory district plus the modern city centre; modern apartment stock with service lifts.
A different kind of UK→Netherlands move — work-led, work-paced, increasingly the busiest corridor.
Eindhoven is the Dutch tech capital and the home of the Brainport region. ASML in Veldhoven, Philips through its history and its present, NXP, the High Tech Campus — they have built one of the densest tech-employer concentrations in Europe and pulled in the UK→Netherlands relocation traffic that goes with that. Most of our Eindhoven moves are work-led: a UK family or professional joining a Brainport employer, often via a corporate-billed relocation package, almost always on a tight timeline tied to a start date.
Eindhoven proper is a compact, walkable city with a striking modernist core (the Strijp-S former Philips factory district is now creative-industry studios and apartments, and the rest of the centre has been heavily redeveloped since 2000). The mover-relevant areas spread out from the centre — Stratum, Tongelre, Woensel for the city itself, and the surrounding municipalities of Veldhoven (ASML campus), Best, Geldrop, and Helmond for the wider Brainport catchment.
A Brainport relocation looks different from an Amsterdam or The Hague move because of the timing: ASML and Philips relocation packages typically commit to a start date, the household has to be ready, and the move has to thread the needle between the UK exit and the Dutch arrival. We have done enough of these to know the relocation-package timing patterns and we plan the move around them. The customs paperwork (transfer-of-residence relief, BSN-side documentation) sits inside the relocation-management firm's standard workflow most of the time, but we still file on our side and coordinate with them.
The international-school question matters more in Brainport than almost anywhere else in the Netherlands. The International School Eindhoven (formerly Regional International School) is the main option, and most of our Brainport family relocations time the move to fit the school year and the school's admissions windows. We schedule accordingly.
Six clusters that account for most of our Eindhoven catchment, with the practical move-side note for each. Not a property guide — a removals brief.
Redeveloped former Philips factory district plus the modern city centre; modern apartment stock with service lifts.
Mid-century neighbourhoods spreading from the centre; mixed apartment and family-housing stock.
ASML campus municipality; substantial corporate-relocation housing stock; modern build.
Adjacent to Eindhoven, family-housing stock, popular with Brainport professionals.
Eastern Brainport satellites; cheaper housing, longer commute, smaller catchment but growing.
Affluent villages south and east of Eindhoven; villa stock for senior Brainport hires.
Port of Rotterdam (Europoort) for sea / road clearance for overland
Same customs path as the rest of the Netherlands — sea via Europoort with road forwarding south, or overland via Belgium clearing at the Dutch border. The Eindhoven final-leg drive is short from either entry point.
ASML or Philips professional relocation → Veldhoven or Strijp-S, often corporate-billed.
High Tech Campus engineer move → Veldhoven, Aalst, or Waalre.
Family relocation timed to the International School Eindhoven year.
Brainport startup or scaleup move → Eindhoven Centrum or Stratum.
NXP / electronics-sector move → Eindhoven Woensel or Best.
Most ASML and Philips moves come through a relocation-management firm (RMC) that handles the wider package — housing, schools, immigration, often the BSN appointment. The removals firm sits inside that workflow. We coordinate directly with the RMC where you want us to, handle the customs paperwork on our side, and file the relevant transfer-of-residence documentation. The RMC handles the Dutch-side administrative arrival; we handle the moving-the-goods part. This is well-trodden — most of our Brainport moves work this way.
Yes — the International School Eindhoven (ISE) is the main option for Brainport-area UK families. It runs primary and secondary IB programmes. Admissions are competitive and have specific windows; most of our family Brainport moves are timed around the school year and ISE's start dates. There are also smaller English-stream options in the wider area, and the European School at Bergen (further north) for some specific scenarios.
Yes, regularly — Veldhoven is the busiest single destination on the Brainport corridor for us. ASML's campus and the surrounding housing developments take direct removals-vehicle delivery, and we know the loading patterns at the main relocation-housing addresses. If your ASML relocation is being managed by Crown, SIRVA, Brookfield or one of the other big RMCs, we have likely coordinated with them on a recent move.
